Chapter 1

Prologue

“I won’t do it; I refuse to go to military school. I want to go to a regular school just like all the other kids that are my friends. It is not fair to me I have been good I haven’t caused you one day of grief. I have always done things your way. I am seventeen years old will be eighteen soon and I know what I want to be; ‘remember I graduated’ this year from high school. This is not fair to me at all.”

“Clint you’re going to military school and that is final you leave tomorrow afternoon!” Clint Mason senior said with authority. “My son is not going to some general college you are going to military school and make something of yourself like I did. A career in the arm forces is nothing to sneeze at and I pulled strings to get you in damn it and you’re going! You are going to be someone, not some worthless dumb shit that will amount to nothing! You’re not working for peanuts for the common people in this world! ”

Young Clint’s mother was up stairs crying her husband was being totally unreasonable once again she felt her son did not want to make a life career in the service then he shouldn’t. Her son wanted to be a lawyer. Clint senior didn’t want his son to turn into a leech and live off those who did not know the law. So Young Clint changed his mind and said he would take business courses and start up his own business. But Clint senior was against that as well. It was Clint senior’s way or else! There wasn’t even the option of the highway because his father knew he would take the highway. This way he also held control over his son if he joined the arm forces.

Young Clint looked at his father, he had gray hair, stood six foot, was overweight by fifty pounds he looked like his chest sank down into his stomach, he had a temper he could not control and it got him into trouble in the service more than once. Hatred began to swell inside of young Clint and she smashed it down inside himself tried not to let it take control over him.

Young Clint felt defeated, he felt worthless in his father’s eyes Young Clint had strived to get top grades to make his father happy and had succeeded. When his father wanted him to join the football team he did, when his father wanted him to take self-defence he did and when his father wanted him to join the wrestling team he did. Then when his father wanted him to get into sword fighting, karate and so on he worked towards the black belts and got them. He even won the nationals. But his father was not going to get his own way this time. He had enough of his father’s dominating forceful ways.

Young Clint went to his room packed a duffle bag took money he had saved up and hid the bag in his closet. Clint looked around the room with the blue walls and dark blue curtains and wondered if he would ever see the room again after tonight probably not. He kept his room spotless who ever moved in he didn’t care if they got it dirty or not. This life as far as he was concerned was over.

When dinner was ready he was called to eat by his mother. He came down stairs he saw his mother and smiled she had been crying yet again, damn his father any how he was like a drill sergeant and ran his house as if it were a platoon. During the dinner no one said anything. Young Clint smiled at his mother, he was going to miss her deeply. She had protected him against his father the best she could but his father was a domineering man who ran his home like he ran the men in the barracks on the army base. His mother didn’t go to any of the parties or associate with the other females on the base. Her life consisted of her home and nothing else, and did what she was told by her husband. “Mom you fixed all my favourite foods.” Young Clint said with a smile.

After dinning, Young Clint offered to help his mother with the dishes saying, “I want to Mom after tomorrow I won’t be here and I want to spend the few minutes with you alone. Father will go off to his study and will want to be left alone so that gives us time to talk.”

His mother and Clint talked while doing the dishes. His mother expressed how she would miss him, how much she loved him and how proud she has always been of him. “Clint I will call your sister tomorrow and tell her your father has sent you away. I know she loves you. Do not believe anyone who tries to put you down dear. Your smart, kind, warm, and generous person, I am and always will be proud of you no matter what happens or what you decide to become. Remember I am always with you!”

“Mom is Mary happily married to the man father picked out for her?”

“No but do not tell your father, she hates her husband, he is very cruel to her and I cry for her. I am scared for her one of these days he is going to kill her just like you father might do to me one day.” Clint cringed at his mother’s words and it hurt him deeply that his father might kill his mother one day. He had tried in the past to get her to leave his father but she said it would only make things worse.

“Does father know he is cruel to his daughter Mary?”

“Yes but he feels if she behaved herself her husband would not abuse her! This is not true even when she behaves he is mean to her. He is like your father that is why he likes the man.”

“Damn that father of mine, doesn’t he have a heart, in his body at all Mom?”

“I use to think your father had a heart Clint, but I don’t think so anymore life as not been what he wanted it to be for himself. I think he gets angry, he should have been a General by now and he is not. He thinks he should have been more than a General by now.”

Clint kissed his mother gave her a hug and held on to her for a few minutes then walked towards his room. Clint turned looked at his mother, “I love you Mom!” Clint went upstairs to his room walked in closed the door. Clint was sick at heart for his mother and for some reason felt it would be the last time he would see his mother alive.

At midnight Clint took the money his father left him on the dresser. Clint opened the window to his bedroom put his duffle bag out the window and crawled out the window. Then he closed the window carefully moved down the roof of the porch tossed his bag down to the ground, then slide down the porch post to the porch and then jumped to the ground. Clint stopped took one last look at the house he lived in for the past ten years. Clint made his way to a spot where the fence was cut pushed his duffle bag through and then went through himself. He was now off the army post and he suddenly felt free. He felt a live for the first time in his life.

Clint moved towards the main highway and started walking. When he saw a truck coming he put of his thumb and the trucker stopped. The big double semi’s breaks sounded like air shooting through a pipe. Clint crawled up into the truck. “Where you headed kid?” The trucker asked as he sized up the young man he had light brown hair, hazel eyes stood about five foot eleven inches tall probably be six foot one by the time he was done growing. The young man seemed extremely respectful of adults. “What is your name son?” The trucker liked him and offered him a sandwich and a carton of milk. Clint took the food.

“I am heading home sir! The name is Mason Clint sir!”

“And where is home young man, sorry Mason?”

“Calgary but first I am going to visit a friend for two days in Edmonton sir.”

The trucker put his semi into gear and moved out, got off the secondary highway and headed north. Clint ate the sandwich and drank the milk. Just on the other side of Edmonton the trucker pulled over, “there you go son.”

Clint climbed out and he walked down the street found an alley and went to the middle of it hid behind a garbage container. Clint lay down and fell asleep.

Clint woke to two men coming down the alley one man had a gun the other man was walking a head of him. Then the man asked the man he had the gun on for his money and when the man refused the other man with the gun pulled the trigger. When the man hit the pavement the man with the gun took his wallet and ran out of the alleyway. Clint had seen the man who pulled the trigger, but instead of waiting for the police he ran in a different direction. After running for several blocks he moved into another alley and lay down on the grass behind a garage in a residential area. He curled up put his duffle bag under his head and slept.

The sun was shining and the sky was clear. Clint was hungry and went to a fast food place got a bowl of soup a donut and a cup of coffee. He took his time eating and relaxing. He purchased a paper looked in the paper for a job. Found a job as an errand boy and he left the fast food place and went to see about the errand boy job. When he walked into the business it looked like any other delivery place he had seen before. He applied for the position he was hired and given a place to sleep and a place to stash his things while working. His first errand was to deliver a package to a ware house. He was tipped when he made the delivery and smiled at the tip. Wow twenty dollars he was thrilled. He had told the man it was too much and the man said it was worth it. Clint smiled and thanked the man once again.

When he got back he was sent on another delivery this time this delivery went to a restaurant down town and he smiled when the Chinese man tipped him fifty dollars. When he wanted to give part of the money back the man refused said the package was important to him. Clint was thrilled with the tip never dreamed he would make tips like this. He thought if he made a five dollar tip he would be lucky.

Clint returned to the place of employment sat and waited for an hour then was called into the office, when he went in he asked about the tips and the office man said they were his to keep. He was given a large box to deliver and he tucked it under his arm and picked up the place to deliver the box. Clint was to deliver this box to a down town business building tenth floor. He went down town went to the building up to the tenth floor and delivered the box to the man he was to hand it over to. The secretary said she would take it and he replied no it goes directly to a Mr. Manson. When Mr. Manson came out he took the package handed the young man three hundred dollars. At the end of the day when all was said and done he had made a cool six hundred dollars. He went to a bank opened an account and put the money in the bank.

Clint Seniors Home

Elizabeth go wake up Clint it is time he was up it is nearly eleven. I only permitted him to sleep in because he is leaving today but this is just disrespectful wake the little bastard. Elizabeth went to young Clint’s room knocked on the door, there was no answer. She knocked again and still there was no answer she opened the door found the bed was not slept in and Clint was gone. Elizabeth cried out, “he’s gone, oh God he is gone!”

Elizabeth rushed to Clint senior, “you drove him out of our house, and this is entirely your fault. He ran away you pushed him out you bastard I will never forgive you for as long as I live? I will forever always hate you for this!”

Clint senior’s eyes narrowed and he punched Elizabeth as hard as he could and she hit the floor she was out cold. “Don’t you ever scream at me again bitch, do you hear me you stupid cunt?”

Clint Senior went to his son’s room, checked it out and found clothes were missing. The duffle bag was gone and so was the money on the dresser along with money he had left for his son to take with him when he went to the military school. “That little bastard you will regret this for as long as you live! I am going to make you sorry for your actions! I find you I am going kick you fucking ass.”

He called the front gate asked if they saw his son and they replied, “No Sir!” All the men hated Col. Clint Mason as far as they were concerned even if they had seen his son take off they would have kept their mouths shut. Everyone like young Clint he was kind, generous, and smart as a whip he didn’t make a lot of friends those he did make stayed true to Clint.

Clint senior got off the phone he walked past Elizabeth told her to get the hell up when she didn’t he kicked her in the ribs breaking four of them. Her ribs punctured her lung. When she didn’t move he grabbed her by the arm and dragged her to a room and left her on the floor, “Damn bitch you’re useless as tits on a boar! Then wondered why he ever married her then remember that he needed money at the time and she had some, but not as much as he thought she had. She had lied to him about how much she was worth, and then her damn father refused to give him money or even leave his daughter money in his will for her.

Clint senior could not involve the army it would make him look bad. He would hire a private investigator. After a few phone calls he called up Zand Alexander but he said he could not take the case he was working on one already. To give his son Storm a call and Zand gave him the number.

Warrior Wolf’s Pack

When the phone rang Storm answered, “Storm Alexander!”

“Mr. Alexander my name is Clint Mason my son ran away from home and I need you to find him if you are free I would like to hire you.

Storm took down all the information Mr. Mason gave him and said he would see him tomorrow evening. Mist walked into the office, “Good morning darling. How are you feeling this morning?”

“I am better today Storm this pregnancy is wearing on me and I am only six and a half months along. Your mother says it happens sometimes and then other pregnancies just go along so smoothly. I do seem to be over being sick in the mornings now. The doctor says everything is fine all the tests that were done all came out normal.”

“My love I am sure everything will be fine. I have a job to do and will be away from a little while if you need anything at all go see Warrior Wolf or Zanda they will be right here for you.”

“It is not the same as your being home; Mist pouted. “ I do not like sleeping alone at night. I know I have the other two pups to take care of but, I will miss you deeply. Why do you have to go and do these jobs at all? I need you home with me Storm. It is just not fair to me; I need you home I am pregnant Storm!”

Why don’t you go take the pups and visit Storm your brother or your brother Rain? They would love to see you and the pups I can drive you and drop you off.”

“I think I will remain here Storm and wait for you.”

“You can contact me anytime Mist while I am away with the mind connection.”

“Don’t bother wanting to make love to me before you leave. I don’t want it if you can’t stay home with me. Why do you have to go tramping around the country side? Why Storm can’t I be enough for you why do you always need this excitement, danger in your life?” Mist began to cry and rushed off to their bedroom. Storm thought back to the time they were first together the bond was strong he felt as complete with Mist as a mate. Now he just felt that bond was diminishing daily. Storm was at a loss as to how to fit it.

Storm left Mist sleeping it was hard on him to leave her when she cried. Then a fight after the crying doesn’t work. Storm always left home unhappy and miserable. He moved about the room gather up his things packed them into a bag and walked out of the bedroom. Storm much like his father Zand with the dark brown hair that use to be blonde like his mother’s but darkened with age and wide set apart eyes looked around and then walked out the door got into his truck and pulled out heading to the army base southeast of Edmonton.

The trip was not as long as he had originally thought it might be. He almost stopped in to see Alexis his mother then decided against it he would see her and Zand his father on the way back. He wanted to talk to his father about Mist and how she has changed.

When Storm entered the army base flags were flying at half mask. Storm asked for directions to Col. Mason’s home. When he reached Colonel Mason’s home a black band was around one of the posts. Storm knocked on the door and Colonel Mason came to the door. “Yes can I help you?”

“I am Storm Alexander you called me Colonel. Mason.”

“Yes come in please, I need you to find my son now more than ever his mother passed away last night, she fall down the flight of steps broke some ribs and her lungs filled with blood.” Storm lifted his eye brows with a discernment that Col. Mason did not like so he quickly changed the subject with Storm noticing the sudden change. Storm knew the man was lying about his wife. His instincts told him the man could not be trusted.

“My son took off ran away because I wanted him to go to military school and he did not want to go. I do not know where he has gone but I am thinking you might have some ideas.” Storm listened carefully discerning each comment from the Colonel.

“Colonel Mason I would like to talk to some of his closest friends please they might have some idea where your son might have gone. If not where he went then might give me a clue to where he is now.”

“That will not be necessary I have already spoken to them and they know absolutely nothing at all.”

“I see you are doing your own investigation Col. Mason when you are finished doing ‘my job for me’ give me a call if you do not find your son good day sir.”

Storm turned to walk out the door and Colonel Mason yelled halt and Storm continued to walk towards the door.” I said to stop.”

Storm turned around, “I am not in the army sir I do not have to take orders from you or anyone. Storm turned back towards the door and Col. Mason went to grab Storm and Storm side stepped and ducked and was out of Col. Mason’s reach in a second. Storm looked at the man. “Try to touch me again and I will see you court marshalled in a blink of an eye. Get someone else to look for your son.”

Col. Mason looked at Storm, “please I am sorry I am so use to dealing with army men and with my wife’s death and my son running away I am not myself please I will pay you extremely well if you look for my son.”

“My pay is two thousand dollars a day plus expenses sir I am paid a week in advance.” Col. Mason went to his office made a check out for fourteen thousand dollars walked out and handed it Storm.”

“Now I would like to talk to your son’s closest friends give me a list of names please.” Col. Mason made out a list of three young boys.”

When Storm went to each place the boys were out and away but he did find one man who spoke and told him that he thought that Colonel. Mason drove his son out, and may have even killed his wife but for Storm not to say a word to Colonel Mason. Then the man closed the door.

Storm left the army base having not been able to speak to the young boys. Storm noticed at one house they said there only son was not at home. When Storm looked at the house he saw the father and son at the window which to Storm meant that the man wanted Storm to know he was given orders not to let his son speak to Storm.

Storm stopped at the gate and spoke to one of the men and he quickly said, “do not trust the Colonel; “don’t blame the boy for leaving, he is a good kid.”

Storm drove out on to the secondary high way headed west towards Edmonton he would check there first if nothing came up he would look in Calgary the two biggest cities would hide a runaway easy and make finding them difficult.

Chapter 2

Storm had a picture and he took it out and looked at it as he sat at a red light in Edmonton. He was going to drive around town and see what he could come up with them get a hotel room and walk the streets. By five in the afternoon he was hungry and he pulled into a restaurant parked his truck. He got out of his truck then walked into the small restaurant and ordered a dinner for one. When he finished eating he paid the bill went out to his truck got in. He took out his cell phone and called his mate Mist. “Hi Mist sweetheart just calling to check in to see how you’re doing. Is everything alright with you?”

“I am a lot better and the pups are fine, Warrior Wolf says if you need anything just give him a call. Your father called and told me to tell you to give him a call, and your mother sends her love.”

“Ok I will give Dad a call, don’t need anything at the moment from Warrior Wolf but that might change. Tell Mom I love her and I miss and love you baby. Bye!

Storm closed his cell phone and smiled. It seemed that Mist was easier to get along with when he wasn’t home. Storm looked up and saw the young man he was looking for Clint. He watched as Clint straddled his bike rode out and away from the restaurant smiling. When Clint was down the street a ways Storm pulled out turned in the same direction.

Storm reached a red light but he watched as the young man turned right at the next corner once the light changed Storm followed suit. When he made the corner he didn’t see the young man. He pulled over looked at the buildings in the block. There was a delivery company, a small restaurant diner type of place to eat. A donut shop on the corner looked busy so Storm decided to go for a coffee. An office building on the corner, Storm stepped out of his truck locked it made his way across the street and a man stopped him on the street.

“What are you doing in this area never saw you before?”

“Storm smiled donut shop my favorite and coffee if you don’t mind please.” Storm walked away from the man walked into the donut shop ordered two honey donuts and a Hazelnut coffee. Sat down and smiled at the cup of coffee. Storm opened the coffee scented it and licked his lips. He took a sip of the coffee then smiled. Ate one of the donuts and then ate the second one he was just about finished with the coffee when Clint walked in the door grabbed a donut and a cup of coffee and sat down across from Storm at the next table.

Storm smiled at the young man, Storm spoke, “hello young man can you tell me if anyone is hiring in this area. Clint looked at Storm and said, “no sir, I don’t’ sir.”

Clint went back to his donut and coffee. A young man walked it and Storm watched him then he said to Clint under his breath get down when I tell you too.

“Why should I listen to you?”

“Because if you don’t you’re going to get killed.”

When the young man finally got to the register he pulled a gun and so did another man the man at the register yelled, “This is a stick up! Everyone stay seated and do what you’re told and you will come out of this alive!”

Storm sat watching what was going to happen. One young man came up to Storm, “your money mister.”

“You don’t want to do that kid take my word for it.”

“I said give me your money now!” He pointed the gun at Storm. Storm stood up pretended to reach into his back pocket for his wallet instead he grabbed the young man spun him around grabbed the gun and had it at the young man’s head then pointed the gun at the other young man.

“Drop the gun or I will drop you to the floor with a bullet. If you try to shoot me you will hit your friend and I will drop you immediately afterwards take your choice?”

The young man dropped the gun to the floor. Storm looked at Clint, “hey kid go pick up the gun and bring it to me!

Clint walked over to the gun kicked it up towards Storm then reached down and picked up the gun and handed it to Storm. “Anyone got a rope?”

A woman in the corner smiled, “I do sir I will go get it out of my car.” The woman came back and the two young men were tied up.

Storm smiled, “Is the manager here?”

“That would be me mister.”

“Here are the guns feel free to call the R.C.M.P. after I leave.”

Storm walked out of the coffee shop the man who stopped Storm going into the coffee shop stopped Storm on his way out. “You can really handle yourself, are you looking for a job?”

“Depends on what kind of job it is?”

“I think after what I saw it is right up your alley young man, come with me.”

Storm followed the man into the delivery building walked in pass a place where packages were being shuffled around from a basket to slots in the wall. Clint walked in smiled at Storm nodded his head and kept right on going. Storm was led into an office as soon as he entered two guys grabbed him took his wallet and then let him go. Storm had removed all evidence of his profession and just carried a driver’s license in the name of Alexander Storm.

The man behind the desk tossed Storm his wallet. And Storm put it in back pocket. “Mr. Storm I have packages delivered on a regular basis and things are getting a little uncomfortable here and I can use some muscle to let’s say protect my errand boys. What is in the packages can be anything to office supplies to diamonds to gold? If you’re interested as I said I can use a man. What do you say Mr. Storm?”

“Just call me Storm, well I can try it and see if I like it for a week if I don’t like it then we can go our separate ways agreed?”

The man behind the desk stood put out his hand and shook hands with Storm, “my name Rico you will be working for me. The job pays well plus you will earn bonuses for any job you do that you run into trouble. You can start out working with Clint he is a young man who delivers packages for the company.”

“Pasco call Clint Mason in here please.”

Clint walked in, “yes sir you wanted to see me.”

“Yes Clint this man Storm is going to go on your high level deliveries to protect you and I won’t take no for an answer I know you can handle yourself kid but your young and inexperienced and Storm here can teach you a few things. Storm is here on trial basis for the first week. You’re both dismissed!”

Clint walked out of the office and Storm followed him. “What brought you here to work?”

Clint turned around, “my father is a son of a bitching mean bastard who mistreats his children’s and his wife, and runs his house like he runs a platoon. The only reason he didn’t hit me was because he knew I would grow up some day and beat the hell out of the S.O.B. I still intend to kick his ass but good someday.”

“That mean? I am sorry to hear that my father is an exceptional man always good to his wife and children. What did you say your last name was?”

“Mason, Clint Mason why do you ask?

“I was coming through a small town and I remember reading the death of a woman let’s see if I can remember her first name!”

“Was it Liz or Elizabeth? Clint asked with a worried look on his face.

“I believe it was yes it was Elizabeth Mason married to Col. Mason, she was to have fallen down a flight of steps broke three or four ribs. Col. Mason came home to find her on the floor. She passed away, I am so sorry Clint.”

“The murdering bastard is going to get away with killing my mother, the fucking bastard. Well, I won’t let him get away with it. I am going to get even with the bastard as soon as I turn eighteen he can no longer control me and I am going to get him.” Clint smashed his fist against the closes wall and his knuckles began to bleed.

“When will you be eighteen Clint?” Storm asked in a calm smooth tone so as not to upset Clint anymore then he already was upset. Clint’s face was a mask of fury

“In another month and four days, leave me alone please.” Clint walked off lay down on his bunk turned his back to everyone. Clint remember the night he left, he and his mother did dishes together and somehow he thought she knew it would be the last time she saw her son. She had hung on to him longer than their normal hugs. She was the best Mom any child could have. She was warm, loving, kind, a good teacher, he knew he got his looks and brains from his mother. He looked nothing like his father and he didn’t have any of his father’s meanness in him. When he was a kid he remembered asking his mother if Clint was his father since they were not at all alike and he remembered praying that Clint Senior was not his father. His mother had said yes he was.

“Clint! CLINT!”

“Yes sir, here is a package for you to deliver take Storm with you here is the address.”

Clint found Storm in the men’s room yelled, “time to go to work Storm.”

Storm said fine they went out the door together Storm said he would be right behind Clint as he walked the six blocks to the delivery drop off. Storm kept an eye on Clint and everything that was around him suddenly his hair stood on end and he moved closer to Clint. Two young men stepped out of the alley with a gun in his hand. Storm noticed the safety was on and hit the young man across the nose breaking it. Blood gushed out and he hit the ground yelling, “my nose.” Storm turned to the other young man and smiled kicked him in the knee and he dropped like a stone. “Hurts like a bastard, doesn’t kid. Storm picked up the gun. Now I suggest you get into a new profession.”

“Let’s go Clint you have a package to deliver.” Clint went into the Chinese restaurant made a mental note of the place address Clint picked up a two hundred dollar tip and went to hand Storm half and he said, “Keep it son.”

When they got back to the delivery place Clint and Storm walked in, Clint went to his bed and Storm was called to the office.

Storm walked in, the boss Rico asked, “Any trouble with the delivery?”

Storm smiled, “not really anything serious just a couple young inexperienced boys wanted to steal the box we talked it over and they decided not to take the box is all. I suggested they get into a new line of work.”

The boss looked at Storm he could not believe his ears; two inexperienced boys talked it over and changed their minds. Rico opened the drawer to his left pulled out an envelope and handed it to Storm your bonus. Storm put the money in his pocket. “You can leave now Storm, thank you!”

Storm walked out of the office. Two more deliveries and the day came to an end. Storm got a motel room not far away. He sat on the side of the bed, took out the envelope and found one thousand dollars in cash. He didn’t like the way things were going, he scented drugs in the box, he needed to win Clint over to his side and get him the hell out of this delivering of illegal contraband. Once the boy was eighteen then he was free to do whatever he wanted including confronting his father of which Storm wanted a hand in as well. He didn’t like Clint Mason Senior. Humans could take lessons from werewolves on how to treat their mates and their children.

Ryker’s Pack

Storm took out his phone dialled up a telephone number, “Ryker here.”

“Uncle Ryker it’s Storm Alexander. Any chance you can do me a favor and found all you can on a man name Rico owns a delivery company called Rico’s Enterprises in Edmonton. Then also find out what you can on a Col. Clint Mason Senior. I think the bastard killed his wife and made it look like an accident.”

“Sure Storm I will start as soon as you hang up.”

Uncle Ryker don’t call me I will call you I’m on a case!”

“Sure son I will call Mist have her contact you mentally when I have anything for you.”

“Wait Ryker don’t call Mist I might not get the message she is angry with me that I am on this job.

“I will wait for your call.” Ryker hung up the phone.

Thena came out of the bathroom smiling all clean and fresh after an hour of love making. Ryker smiled at his mate. “Have to do a favour for young Storm get some sleep sweetness while I go check out people on the computer in my office.”

“You didn’t lock the door to the office today Ryker and well Sheeha got into the office thank goodness you locked your computer, but you’re going to find some bills written on saying I love you Daddy”

Ryker looked at Thena, “she can’t write yet!”

“Well you be sure to tell her you got her notes of I love you Daddy and tell her not to go into your office again and explain why.”

Ryker smiled and thought to himself, five year olds and she was Daddies little girl, he had to admit she brought a lot of laughs and enjoyment into his life and he shrugged his shoulders. Ryker walked down the hall way and Sheeha opened her door, “what are you doing out of bed at this hour sweet thing. Sheeha put her arms out and Ryker picked her up. “I got your notes today I love you to Sheeha.

Sheeha wrapped her arms around Ryker and smiled, “I love you Daddy. Daddy put me down and ‘watch’ what I can do.” Ryker smiled at his daughter her hair was black as coal, her eyes the colour of green like the leaves on a tree in spring time she was be stunning when fully grown up. She already knew what she wanted to be when she grew up. She wanted to be a queen.

Ryker put his daughter down on the floor and got down on his knees. “What can you do sweetie?”

Ryker just about jumped out of his skin when he watched his five year old daughter shift into a cat. “THENA, THENA!” Ryker yelled.

Thena rushed out of the bedroom and saw her daughter in cat form, “Oh my goodness she is not supposed to do that yet she is too young.” Thena got down and spoke to her daughter, “shift up into human form sweetie. And Sheeha shifted up. “Who taught you to do that Sheeha?”

“Aunt Felina showed me how to do it Mommy.”

“Well it is time you went to bed young lady give Daddy a hug and kiss and I will put you to bed.”

Sheeha hugged and Kissed Ryker and Thena picked her up, five minutes later she came out. “It seems Thena we have a remarkable daughter, she sure is something else.” Ryker smiled proudly.

“Ryker we have seven pups of which four are boys, all the girls are feline and one son is feline the other three are wolf multi-shaper shifters. The older ones can all shift up and down as they see fit because of your teaching them. Now tell me you showed Sheeha how to do it?”

“I didn’t teach her Thena I swear”. Thena read Ryker’s mind and he was telling the truth.

Thena looked at Ryker, “I think Felina is pulling the felines together even Par Alexander and Thor Synn Davies seem to be on this quest to pull the felines together. I wonder if Sheeha is going to be involved in this as well.”

Ryker smiled kissed Thena, “got work to do!”

Thena went to bed wondering just what roll their daughter would play in the future.

Chapter 3

Storm woke in the morning and headed to work. When he got there he was told to go with Clint for a delivery, all went well and he came back reported to the office. “Nothing happened on this delivery.”

Storm turned to leave and the door open to a female, she was the most beautiful female Storm had ever laid eyes on. He immediately shut Mist out of his mind as he took a good look at the woman. She had hair half way down her back that was black, her eyes were dark blue, her complexion was creamy white she stood about five foot six inches tall. Storms mouth hung open at the sight of her she had an hour glass shape wore black leather short skirt white blouse with a black leather vest and black heels. Storm smiled at the female and she dismissed him like yesterday’s news. She looked like someone he knew but could not place ever meeting her before. He certainly would have remembered meeting her before. She was someone you don’t ever forget.

“Rico dear I need a favour I have a box that needs delivered and I need someone, let’s say, knows how to protect a package I need a delivery boy. I have a small package of diamonds going to a diamond dealer over on the north-west side of town to a private address.

Rico smiled, “Storm say hello to Miss Oklahoma!”

Storm smiled even wider, “hello, how do you do?” Storm was on the edge of drooling. He looked her up and down as if appraising her for a night out or what chance he might have of a relationship with her.

“I do a lot better than you do sir! Keep your mind off me and on your wife. I can see wife written all over you.”

“You are married Storm?” Rico asked with a frown.

Storm smiled, “separated actually.”

Oklahoma read the truth in his eyes and his voice. “You ever get a divorce give me a call handsome. Rico will know how to get in touch with me. Rico here is the address and here is the package.”

Oklahoma smiled at Storm and walked out the door never looking back to see if Storm was watching her she already knew he was. Oklahoma smiled to herself and thought if he did ever get a divorce she was interested. Truth was a wolf never divorces his mate. He was not only good looking, but he was also well built. She could feel his muscled chest up against her his strong arms around her. The thought gave her the chills and excited her to her core.
