Clara and Amber were nearly finished working at Arby’s one night. Amber was in the back by the lockers getting her things ready to leave when Clara came and stood in the doorway to block her way out. Amber came up real close to her, and when she realized that she wasn’t going to move, gave her a look that clearly said “What the fuck?”
Clara hugged her. She wasn’t entirely sure why she was keeping her there, and needed time to stall a bit and figure it out. Amber pulled back so she could be released. Clara obliged for a moment, but then out of nowhere she grabbed Amber by the hips and pulled her back in again. She whispered softly into Amber’s ear, “I’m single again, and I’m ready to let you have your chance with me. Pick a date and I’ll get a hotel room in Waikiki so we won’t be disturbed. You can tell your parents you’re sleeping over at a friend’s house so they won’t worry that you didn’t come home. If you can prove to me that being lesbian is better than being bi or straight, I’ll turn lesbian for you. Let me know by Saturday what you’ve decided.”
