Chapter One

Carin Cross’ eyes panned across the lobby, taking in the tropical plants and birds that decorated the space. Sofas and chairs upholstered in various shades of blue, green and yellow provided guests with plenty of seating. The intoxicating scent of white jasmine blooms filled the air; larges vases of them sat on the hardwood floor, inviting those who walked by to stop and take a big sniff.

“Where in the hell have you brought me?” CC’s voice kicked up an octave with each word. “Brooke Lynn Ford, I’m talking to you!”

“Shh! I’m trying to concentrate here.” Brooke took off her sunglasses and slid them into her tote. A huge smile appeared on her face as she watched a couple of naked men walk past them. “Aren’t they gorgeous, CC?”

“I asked you a question. What kind of resort is this?”

Turning to her friend, Brooke grabbed her by the hand and led her to the registration desk. “It’s a clothing optional resort.”

“It’s a what? I’m not staying here.” CC picked up her bags and started for the door.

Brooke ran around and cut off her escape. “You’re not going anywhere.”

“Who’s going to stop me?” CC asked with an annoyed smile as she tried to sidestep her friend.

“There’s no way to leave the island until the week is up.” Brooke’s words tumbled out of her mouth as she gave an apologetic smile to CC. “That’s one of the reasons why I picked this place. You needed to get away from all that turmoil at home. I’ve been worried about you.”

CC’s bags dropped out of her trembling hands with a thud and she stared sightlessly at the highly polished floor. “I’m sorry for my outburst, but this is not what I expected when you said we were getting out of town for a while.”

“I know, and I’m sorry for deceiving you. But after what you’ve been through, I thought you needed something to perk you up.” Just then a man who had to be close to three-hundred pounds strolled past them wearing nothing but a press-on smile. CC and Brooke looked at his wide, flat ass with eyes as big as saucers. “If that doesn’t perk you up, I don’t know what will.” They both laughed and headed back to the registration desk. It didn’t take long to check-in and receive the keys to their two-bedroom condo.

“Welcome to Bared Essentials Resort.” A strapping bellman placed their belongings on the motorized cart and helped them board. He had to be all of six-one, with muscles galore. His uniform, if you want to call it that, was a glorified loincloth, giving them an eyeful of his tight ass.

“What’s your name?” CC asked, looking him over for a nametag of some sort. She allowed her gaze to stray a bit and eyed his perfect abs. A heated sensation rushed up her spine and back down to her pussy. She quickly shook her head, trying to shake off her lustful thoughts. The man is an employee, not her personal plaything.

“Dirk, ma’am,” he replied in a lilting island accent.

“Can I ask you something, since I was not aware of your resort’s amenities before I arrived?” CC gave Brooke a pointed look before proceeding. “Are there any parts of the resort where clothing is required?”

“Oh no, missy,” Brooke interjected. “We’re here to enjoy every inch of the resort.”

“Speak for yourself, Brooke.”

Chuckling, Dirk pulled out a map from underneath his seat. “Here you go, ma’am. There are a few places here where guests are required to be clothed.”

“Good. That’s where I’ll be all week.”

Brooke tried to snatch the map away, but failed to pluck it from CC’s hands. “I’m going to make sure you experience this whole island. You just wait.”

Soon they were in front of their condo. The pastel colored, three-story building was located near the beach. A concrete barrier separated each unit to assure its occupants of privacy. Dirk easily carried their belongings up the stairs to the third floor and inside the condo. As CC searched her purse for a tip, Brooke boldly stroked Dirk’s bulging arms and chest.

“Are all the bellmen as big and strong as you?”

“Brooke! Take your hands off that man.”

“That’s all right, ma’am. We’re here to serve our guests in any way they desire.” Stepping out of his skimpy garment, he turned back to Brooke and allowed her to continue fawning over his hard body. Dirk smiled. “And I do love chocolate as well as vanilla.” He winked at CC causing her neck and face to heat up, along with another part of her body.

CC quickly found the tip money and thrust it into his hands, averting her eyes from his huge erection. “Thank you, Dirk. That’ll be all for now.”

“For now?” Dirked grabbed CC’s outstretched hand and wrapped it around his cock. “As you can see; I’m ready, willing, and capable for serving all your needs.”

Shocked, CC quickly snatched it away and took a few steps back. She opened her mouth to tell him off, but nothing came out. The man certainly had few inhibitions, unlike her. Brooke snickered though, adding to her discomfort.

Scooping up his uniform, Dirk gave them another saucy wink and sauntered out the door. As soon as the door closed, Brooke rounded on CC. “Have a seat, girlfriend. We need to talk.”

Warily, CC sank onto the plush, leather sofa while Brooke plopped down on the blue carpeted floor. “Are you okay? Do you really want to leave? I lied when I said you couldn’t leave. The resort can summon a boat to take you away if you like.”

CC lowered her head and closed her eyes. Brooke had gone out of her way to make her feel better by setting up this getaway: there was no way she’d disappoint her best friend by leaving now. “I’ll be fine, girlfriend. I wish you had told me where we were going though.”

“Would you have come?” Brooke twisted her lips in a half smile as she awaited CC’s answer.

“Absolutely not.” They both laughed at her honesty. “This is not me.”

“Before you married that fool, you would have gladly come. He changed you. I want the old, kick-ass CC back.”

“I don’t know where she’s gone.” Rising from her seat, CC walked over to the large picture window and pressed her nose against the glass.

“Then we need to find her, and we’re starting today. Come on, let’s head down to the beach.” Brooke grabbed her arm and they headed for their respective bedrooms to change into their bathing suits. Soon they were on their way to the beach to enjoy the first day in paradise.

***

CC frowned as she looked out on the beach with its pristine white sand and gentle waves lapping at the shore. A slight breeze skittered across her skin, cooling her sweating body. The sun shone brightly in a cloudless sky: in other words, it was a picture-perfect day. She would have thoroughly enjoyed the sight before her at any other time, but the presence of all the naked people frolicking in the water made her cringe. What possessed people to run around naked? It must be nice to be free like that....

“Isn’t this place great?” Brooke threw off her sarong, slathered some suntan lotion on her skin, and rose from the beach chair. “I’m going to take a dip in the ocean. Come on.”

“No thank you,” CC replied, as she shielded her eyes with her hands. “I think I’m going to hang out here and take a nap.”

“You’re not going to able to avoid these people, CC. You might as well get used to seeing them in all their glory.”

That’s what you think. I agreed to stay on the island, but there’s no way I’m gonna get used to “seeing them in all their glory” . When she wasn’t in the condo, she planned on keeping to the parts of the resort where clothing was required. “I really am tired, Brooke. I’ll catch up with you later.”

“I’ll hold you to that.” Brooke turned and ran toward the water. Soon she was tossing handfuls of water into the air, a joyful smile on her freckled face.

Blowing out an audible sigh, CC’s head whipped around to the left when a loud yell went up. A large crowd was cheering on the participants of a lively volleyball game. For an instant, she thought she’d recognized one of the male players, or at least his butt. However, they were too far down the beach to see clearly. Anyway, there was no way he could be on the island, no way at all. The man was the epitome of propriety who rarely took off his suit jacket even outside of the courtroom. Shaking her head, she gave a snort of laughter and settled back into her beach chair.

After applying some sun block on her own body, CC covered her face with a wide-brimmed hat and tried to go to sleep, but the happy shouts of the other guests made it impossible to rest. What in the world possessed people to strip off their clothing and parade around in their birthday suits? She could never do that, never. After tossing and turning on the narrow chair for a while, she slowly drifted off into a troubled sleep.

CC stepped out of the bathroom of their honeymoon suite and looked around the bedroom. No Robert. “Where did that man go?” Granted, this was their wedding night and she may have taken a little extra time to freshen up. But, where the hell was he?

Blowing out a loud breath, she plopped down on the bed to wait and glanced down at her barely-there negligee. A giggle bubbled up from her throat when she thought about the naughty note Brooke slipped into her hand earlier in the evening with suggested sexual positions. She certainly intended to try every one out on her new husband. That is, if he ever came to bed. And she hoped he was back to his normal self; the kiss he gave her once the reverend pronounced them man and wife was so chafe, you’d think he was kissing his sister instead of his new wife.
