Vanessa poked her fork into her food absent-mindedly. She was too busy staring across the table to eat. Her father Paul, and stepmother Katrina were discussing their day. Vanessa watched as Katrina’s plump rouged lips formed each word. She imagined what it would be like to feel those lips pressed against her own.
“Vanessa?” Her Dad said. He had said something to her and she completely ignored him. Vanessa blushed as she was pulled out of her fantasy. She felt a little ashamed as she glanced at her father.
“What?” Vanessa asked, then quickly shoved a bite of mashed potatoes into her mouth.
“How are your classes going?” He repeated the question and eyed her suspiciously. He liked to know what was happening in her life even though she was nineteen and in her second year of college.
“Fine,” she replied without much interest. She did not find her classes interesting. She did however find her classmates interesting, more specifically lately the girls. She had never really considered the possibility of being with a woman, until earlier in the month, when one of her close friends introduced her to the idea. They had been partying together, both more than a little drunk. Her friend had decided to whisper secrets in Vanessa’s ear. Vanessa could not understand a word her friend was slurring, but she did enjoy the sensation of her warm lips massaging her earlobe and neck. In a split-second their encounter went from innocent to strange. Vanessa was too stunned to pull away when her friend Lisa took her earlobe between her teeth and began to suck on it softly.
