The Tale Of Princess
Snow White
Once upon a time there live a very pretty princess, named Snow White. Her mother died at childbirth, and as a result she grew up in a castle alone with her father. Her father was a kindly old fellow, who loved to buy her a pretty pink cake every week when at the market. Snow White always loved to eat the soft cake as soon as her father got home. She waited for him on the doorstep, and by the time he crossed the threshold the cake was gone.
One day however her father did not come home with the cake. Instead he came home with a mind as high as a kite, as he danced around like a fairy king.
“Father, what has gotten into you?” Snow White asked as she watched her father parade around in great distress.
“I have met your mother!” he declared. “She is coming over to dinner at noon.” he enthused as he threw a majestic cape around his shoulders. “You must dress in the prettiest dress ever – for she is arriving as a queen!” he declared.
Snow White immediately moved to closet to choose out the prettiest dress she had. When she paraded herself in front of her father, he wanted to grab it off her right away in order to give it to his guest. Snow White squealed and ran to the forest, where she sat on a log until it was time for dinner.
As Snow White walked inside the house she saw the guest. However she did not look much like a queen, she looked more like a widow dressed in a black dress, with black sating trimmings, and black lace-edged sleeves. Snow White felt a chill as she saw the woman's face – it was much like her own, however it did not have any youthful vitality inside its pale mask; all that she saw was death.
Soon the woman moved in, and began to order her father about. Her father became a loyal servant, as he was told what to do, and how to do it. When he wasn't being ordered about he would often crawl up to his new love and ask her what he should do as he grovelled on one knee.
Snow White saw the spectacle, and grimaced. She had only bitter words to say, and soon she cut all ties to language, and said nothing but 'Okay Step-mother.” whenever she was directly talked to.
One day her father was cutting log, when his heart suddenly gave up on him. Snow White previously ran across to him in order to gain his attentions so that he may see a flower she had picked. He had stopped, and rubbed a drip of sweat off his brow - then wham! Down he fell like a dead tree branch.
Snow White gasped and threw the flower away as the step-mother hurried outside in order to inspect what she had seen from the kitchen.
“What happened here Snow?” she questioned with bitter remark.
“He just fell down...” uttered Snow White with terror deeply imbedded inside her wide eyes.
“He's dead!” complained the step-mother who had her hands crossed before her chest.
Suddenly she gave him a mighty kick, and then she scolded out loud.
