Author bio:
No biography. I'll write memoirs when I'm 103 and anyone I mention will be so happy to be alive to read them they won't sue. I write science fiction female fantasies for fast-reading smart women. What they wish fan fiction could be and know it can't. It's what I was asked to write at Mediawest in '92, when I won two Fan-Q's for my first two stories. Why me? They said "You can do it." What's that mean? It's not just storytelling talent. That's rather common. It was a real survival trait. Every good storyteller taught about the world and passed knowledge. That's what I do and like the talespinners of old, I do it in a fun way. Still not enough? My university transcript looks like I began with a map of the campus and checked off buildings I'd explored well. I admit I didn't spend a lot of time in biology and horticulture, but I did a thorough exploration of the other 'ologies, economics, engineering, philosophy, music, theater, computer science, communications and, of course, language and literature. It does show. The cultures I build and the relationships of the characters don't have any missing pieces. Some are very sexy. Some aren't. I write for an under-served market. Will others like my work? Yes, but they aren't really wishing for something that's not available. Or not this something. There really isn't anything else like my work out there. If there had been, I'd have found it. I want action-adventure that never slows down and engages me intellectually too. I want superheroes who are eloquent and brilliant. I want characters who sound like they've got an education and wisdom from 'immortals,' who aren't cases of arrested development that haven't learned anything since they were 20. I want books I have to read more than once to get everything in them out of them. I want societies that don't have any missing pieces. Traders who think about profit margin, and guard captains who think about needing to use the toilet and wish the dignitaries would, please, go into the meeting room. To get it, I had to write it. The style is for my target market too. It takes a couple chapters to get used to it, but once the women I write for do, they will read it faster. I'm a torchbearer, a member of the avant-garde, as we escape the economic confinement of physical mass distribution. You still hear people say, "If it was any good, it would be REALLY published." No, only books which the corporation decides will appeal to a vast audience get published and the people who make that decision haven't read them. A decision of that financial magnitude requires spreadsheets. They can't invest stockholder money in anything that isn't blockbuster-connected and probable sell-through, nothing truly new or different. It's our decision to create that which is the guide to all who follow. Ready for some real brain candy? Download a sample and see if it satisfies that wish for something you just couldn't define. I am a Talespinner. I shall you a tale of heroes, of the wide velvet night! A Talespinner's Web, an historical site: http://www.targetyonder.com Spinner, 6/2011

Jacob Drake is the author of various Fantasy, Horror, Science Fiction and Erotica books, all available on Smashwords. His only problem in writing is not having enough time to write to completion all the stories he gets in his head. "If I wrote constantly until the day I died I still would never be able to exhaust the imagination that is the source of these stories. "I've always loved reading, so somewhere along the line it only seemed natural that I would sit down and start writing the type of stories I like to read. And that's only because I can't always find a book I want to read that encompasses the type of story I want. Sure, there are lots of great authors out there, but they don't always have their next new novel in my hands at the time I want to read it. Certainly there won't ever be another new book by Robert Heinlein or Isaac Asimov, though I wish with all that's in me there were. "I wrote my first story in high school for an English class. Had no idea what I was going to write until Sunday night (This was due the next day) when I sat down at my typewriter (Yes, this was back in the Stone Age before PCs came available) and started pounding on the keys. I turned in the finished story the next day and received an "A". "But I didn't write anything else (except songs, of which I have more than 100 finished) for many years, mostly due to the fact of raising a family and trying to be responsible (I hate that word). That came about because I had a story in me banging at the inside of my head, demanding to be let out. This time I sat down at the keyboard at my PC and began writing. I don't recall how long it took to complete that story, but it's now published as "Parallels: Book One - Heroes Enjoined Series". "I was quite satisfied with how that turned out, so a bit later I wrote the sequel to that book and called it "XKALIBUR". I then wrote a smattering of horror stories as well as a few more books and then a bunch of stories based on female superheroes who get into - ahem - trouble each and every time they go out on patrol. "But none of these stories ever saw publication and that was okay with me (to a point), because I realized that deep down inside of me I was a writer and I had stories that kept screaming at me to write them. So I did, even though I had nowhere to publish them. My wife well knows how many times I said, "I just want my stories out somewhere so other people can read them! What good does it do if they sit on my computer and no one else can enjoy them?" "I tried getting book publishers interested in my works, but they wouldn't even deign to read my intro letter. Many other authors know that feeling, too. I attempted to get an agent, with pretty much the same results. Most agents are too busy trying to place the stories for the author's they already represent. "I then read something on the internet one day while searching for online publishers. Someone had published his story at a place called Smashwords.com and it hadn't cost him a cent. I don't recall who that was, but I wish I could thank him for having the sense to write that blurb where I could read it. "I entered the name into my browser bar and hit "enter". Sure, I had to register, but that was free, so I did. Figuring out how to get my stories formatted properly in order to get them uploaded onto Smashwords was a bit of a chore, but Mark Coker's Style Guide was pretty much clear on the subject and eventually I had it all done for my first book. "Once "Parallels" was published online I was like a little kid on Christmas morning with a tree filled with presents underneath. "Within the next month I had all of my completed stories formatted and uploaded, which meant I had to take all my horror stories and put them together with a book title. Then I had to do the same for my B.A.B.E.S. stories, but that worked easy enough, once I figured out what program to use (Picasa3) to make covers with. "Now I work on getting my latest novels written so they can join the rest of my 'family' of eBooks that are now available on all the eBook retailers' sites. "Not all of my books are for everyone, especially my erotica classifications, like the "Complete Book of B.A.B.E.S." and my "Rebirth of the Gods" book. Some day I'll get around to writing the promised second book to that series, honest. For the time being, I've been channeling my energy into writing the books for my vampire series, the first of which is "Forever Undead" and the second one is "Darkness in the Light". Now I have the third in this series, "Forever the Dark Grave", and then I'll write "Darkness in the Draca Legacy". After that I'll link these all together with "Forever Darkness". Recently I got the idea of writing a bunch of short stories based on the vampire bar (Vampir Sange) that appears in "Darkness in the Light" and publishing it under the title "Vampir Sange - Dark Tales From the Blood Bar". That one will be written. "I'm enjoying my vampire realms too much to do anything else right now, but I am open to hearing from those who read my books." Care to write and make suggestions? Sex On A Train - An Erotic Two Girl Threesome by Rory Hitch Sex On A Train - An Erotic Two Girl Threesome by Rory Hitch June 01, 2011 $0.99 8840 words Sample 10%
Author bio:
I've enjoyed reading erotic fiction for many years and always found the concept of being turned on by words on a page intriguing. When I decided to help a sleepless night pass by writing a short story, it somehow became a very rude tale of an office full of beautiful people enjoying a variety of sexual encounters with each other! (This evolved into the 'Sex In The Office' series, available to purchase from this website). When I read what I had written some time later, I was suprised to find it quite a turn on! Impressed that I've managed to create from nothing, I've decided to share some of my writings online. I've been amazed over the years by the low standard of writing of some of the stories I've read. I've put a lot of love, care and time into my stories - hopefully it shows! I don't believe that men want to read stories of mindless sex between grunting automotons and women need to have erotica dressed up with endless romance & flowery language. Sex should be enjoyable and fun for everyone and I want my writing to reflect that. You won't find any humiliation of women (or men), infliction of pain etc. here! Thanks taking the time to read this - I hope you enjoy the stories!

The Case of The Kidnapped Countess by John Savage The Case of The Kidnapped Countess by John Savage May 25, 2011 $5.95 37433 words Sample 15%
Author bio:
John Savage is one of the important figures in the history of the highly erotic and esoteric field of Bondage and Discipline. He came after the legendary John Willie, and before the period exemplified by the photography of Jay Edwards, et al. Just as Jay was an important link in the progression of bondage techniques leading up to the anything-goes extreme B&D of today, so was John Savage. The bondage he created and photographed represented a step beyond that of John Willie: more complex, tighter, more escape proof. John began by copying the work of John Willie but was soon adding his own touches. This is typical of the progress in the field. Both Jay Edwards and Dave Annis (probably the best strict bondage photographer today) have stated that they began by copying John Savage’s work, then adding to it. John began in 1969 with an article written for Barbara Behr of House of Milan. He was soon tying and photographing amateur models, sometimes selling the products freelance, but then working with Tao Productions to create a line of bondage magazines with such titles as “Best of Bondage,” “Taskmaster,” “Bondagemaster,” and the politically incorrect “Teenagers in Bondage.” (None of the models were underage, despite the title.) In the early 80’s he edited, wrote for and photographed a magazine series called “John Savage’s Notebooks.” These long-ago magazines today command a high price, if you can find them. In addition to magazines, he produced some of the old 8mm “loops,” and later VHS videos, the most famous being “Making Danielle Talk.” He has worked with Barbara Behr, Bob Bishop and F.E. Campbell. It was through his friendship with Frank Campbell that he became involved in the writing of B&D novels. Frank is still most prolific B&D novelist, credited with 100 books written for HOM. As Frank became older and had trouble typing, he began dictating books on audio tapes. John Savage then transcribed those books to computer disk for the publisher. Then came a time when Frank no long wished to write. At that point John began ghost-writing Frank’s novels. In fact, the last ten novels credited to Frank Campbell were actually written by John Savage. After Frank’s death, John began selling novel under his own name to House of Milan. He also wrote for Sandpiper Press, Olympia Press and Bon-Vue, all being published as paperbacks. For a while he dropped out of the marketplace but then came back when ebooks became popular. He is currently writing B&D novels for Strict Publishing, and occasionally non-B&D books under a different name. As to the man himself, he was born in 1943, is married and has two grown children. He is a Viet Nam era veteran. His main career has been in computers, ranging from programmer to systems analyst. He still programs computers and enjoys it. His B.S. and M.S. are in computer science, but in addition, he has a PhD in, of all fields, astronomy! This is the reason for the nickname “Doc” Savage being stuck on him (“Doc” Savage was a well-known fictional character from the 30’s). Today he lives in Solana Beach, California, enjoying his hobbies of astronomy, fishing and fast sports cars.

The Final Dream by James F. Park The Final Dream by James F. Park May 10, 2011 $4.99 60362 words Sample 20%
Author bio:
'Hello, My name is James F. Park. It's not really it's just plain James Park. I don't have a middle name. I just stuck the F. in there to confuse you, only joking, well about the confusing part anyway. Sorry, sometimes my wicked Glaswegian sense of humour gets the better of me. If you really, really want to find out what the F. stands for then why not treat yourself to my wee book 'Aye, that'll be choclit', where all will be revealed (along with lots of other things). I was born in Glasgow in 1948. The Gallowgate to be exact, which is almost the city centre, well, nearly the city centre and that makes me an extra special wee person, that's what my mammy used to say and mammy's are never wrong, are they? I am very happily married to Ann, also a Glaswegian, or as I affectionately call her 'Babes' and we now live in dizzy heights of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. If I remember anything else I'll add it on later, oh and I'm also a S.A.D wee person (see 'Aye, that'll be choclit' for further details). Oops, it's me again, the quick witted one with the weird and wonderful Glaswegian sense of humour, so I guess it must be later. Babes said I had to write some even more useless info about myself as she thinks the above is far too short. So here goes. As I've already mentioned I was born in Glasgow what seems like a very, very long time ago. A time before automatic washing machines, microwave ovens, colour television and motor cars with electronic ignition. It was a time when there were steam trains with their unique musky smell and tram cars, which still fascinate me, that trundled along Argyll St. in my fair city that took me to visit myGranny as a star struck six year old. For me the day the trams stopped running was an unforgivable event but I suppose that's progress. In 1954, on a bitterly cold and snowy December morning with Dad John, a Glaswegian, Mum Mary, a Belfast lass (is it any wonder I'm a mixed up cookie) an older brother and sister we headed East almost in wagon train fashion to an unknown place called Garthamlock where I started my education in earnest. Having successfully manoeuvred my way through primary school it was onwards and upwards to the Big school which I somehow managed to get through without getting into much bother or getting expelled (joking again, I was NEVER in trouble with the teachers, honest). I left school at sixteen and entered the even dizzier and scarier heights of the workplace in 1964. I didn't leave so much as ran as fast as I could out the bloody building as I hated it with a vengeance. Looking back now I wish I hadn't because the workplace was and still is a very eventful place. Although I ran out of school I still managed to get the sort of education that meant I can read, write and spell. I can also count without using my fingers and toes (and other bits) and the use of a calculator. The Calculator. What an absolute horrible invention (that's just my opinion). It has taught the younger generation how not to use their brain when it comes to figuring out the answer to the simplest of equations. Go on, I dare you, ask someone who was educated in the last twenty years or so and see if they can tell you what 9 x 8 = without the help of said calculator, or do you need it? He who invented it should have been put in a sling and fired off to some far and distant planet never to be heard of again. But I digress, why did I start to write at such a late stage in life? Simply because I had nothing else to do, that's why. One day I thought, I think I'll write a wee book after all it can't be that hard, can it? Hmm, and so having mentioned this to some of my present and past workmates who all said, 'Can I be in your book, please Jimbo, can I be in your book,' I was more or less forced and I suppose encouraged into actually doing it. The result being 'Aye, That'll be Choclit.' It's a collection, and I must admit, of funny Glaswegian type stories from 1941 through to 2007 and is definately one for adults only. However those so called workmates who were not mentioned weren't too chuffed and so I promised them they would be in the next book and so transpired 'Jazzy and Tia's first adventure' and is dedicated to my two lovely granddaughters Jasmine and Tia. In this story Jazzy is confined to hospital having had an asthma attack and dreams of animals that have magical powers and so their adventures begin. Almost all of the main characters in this one are loosely based on my work colleagues and so far none of them have threatened actual bodily harm so that in itself must be a good thing. Well isn't it? Next wee book up is 'Tammy the Tartan Haggis' which is a colouring in and story book with, ah you've guessed, a tartan theme, for younger children just learning to read and who love to colour in. This one is dedicated to my very dear friends The Galbraith family of Ayr, Scotland. 'The Destiny Diamond' is a short children's story about two intergalactic anti-terrorist agents called Patrick Plook and Wilfred Wart who are sent back in time to retrieve the diamond which was stolen by three aliens, the yellow terabytes. My thanks to Shellers for her input on this one. My next wee effort is, 'AdamAnts colouring in and puzzle book for all ages,' and as the title suggests is a colouring in book with puzzles, jokes and easy arithmetical equations for everyone. The Enchanted Forest of Aethelwine starts off with footballer Jimmy playing in a boys club cup final at Broadway the home of The Mighty Belfast Celtic but why was he transported back in time and will he return to fulfil his dream? James and The Falcon budgie is the first in a series of James and.... children's books and is one of the first bedtime stories I made up for my son James and has been followed by James and The Porridgedragon and James and The Caterpillar Princess The Winchester Dolphins and The Mystery of Winchester Hall is a good old fashioned mystery for young ladies but why would anyone want to steal an iPod and who is the mysterious stranger who has followed Matilda all the way from America to Scotland.

The “little Crow” is considered to be unique as it is a bridge between the old double edge blades of Japan and the more modern version which eventually became known as Katana. Thus, the author that writes under this shortened pen name, desired to use it as a way to describe his writing style as a bit of old school mixed with new techniques. Author bio:
Laura Cooper obsesses over all things naughty and spontaneous. Growing up in the deep romantic south Laura was raised in a prominent family who prided themselves on their ability to appear normal to other socialites. Straying from her historical roots Laura learned to find pleasure within the secret world of swinging. In the eyes of those who see her in the luxurious downtown Charleston shops Laura is the typical southern woman, in the eyes of those who know her best she is a sensual creature who thrives on spontaneous sexual adventures. Laura’s motto is that it is best to try anything at least once; if she derives pleasure from the experience then it is added to her repertoire of erotic journeys. For years Laura has kept track of her various exploits in several purple spiral bound notebooks, it was on the urging of her husband that some of these are being released for public enjoyment. Actual occurrences are often further expanded by descriptions of the locations in which they happened, otherwise all stories are fairly true to fact. Laura enjoys sensual “treats” as she calls them with women and men but the thrill comes from spontaneity. With every moment of her life having been planned and executed to the minutest detail she finds her rush in the unexpected. Fondest locations have been bank ATM enclosures, downtown Charleston alleyways, the bow of yachts docked in the harbor and even a fire truck. When Laura isn’t writing about her naughty adventures she maintains the appearance of structure. With two children in college Laura now has time to explore avenues that were previously filled with family life. She and her husband now reside outside the city limits of Charleston with their rescued dogs and a cat. When she isn’t delving between the legs of her “treats” Laura enjoys paranormal investigations, interior design, and helping homeless animals. She is quite discussed as having the biggest heart in Charleston by her peers…if they only knew just how big her heart is! Her newest hobby is tarot card reading. Remember the queen of diamonds will beat you if she’s able; the queen of hearts is always your best bet. Feel free to contact Laura as she loves the interaction. http://www.laurabcooper.com http://laurabcooper.blogspot.com/ lbcooper123@twitter.com

Hi, All the advice is that I'm supposed to write a profile, but I find it a lot easier to write about the characters in my novels than about me. If I write it one way it sounds so boring that I wouldn't read it, so why inflict it on you. If I do it the other way, it sounds as if I think there are only two good authors in history, me and Will Shakespeare, and that is worse. There are at least three good authors ! When I have read bios from other authors, I'm not too concerned with where they went to school, what their favorite color is or whether they are 4 feet tall or 8 feet tall. I want to know "what makes them tick" and "What is it that they are trying to say?" The average bio just does not tell me, and I'm not sure if I know how to say it, so I'd prefer to let my characters talk for me. Maybe the best bet is to tell you what and why I write. Well, first off, I enjoy doing it, so even if you hate my books, there is one person that likes 'em - me! I have read a cross section of literature over the years. In most genres there is plenty of variety, and that makes a book or a film good, as you don't know what will happen. I recall reading one novel and there was a subplot with a cute Chinese gal. I wondered if she was going to make it to the end of the story or not. At various times, it looked bad for her, and in the end I was more concerned about her than the main plot. With most "Romance", the plot is 'girl meets boy; girl loses boy, girl regains boy'. If there is a good girl/bad girl battle, you know on page ONE which is which, so you know what will happen on p336. All that the other 334 pages do is to fill in the precise details. With erotica, the sex can be much steamier, and the HEA (Happy Ever After) is not necessary, but the girls are often just a system to transport the sexy bits from one bed to the next bed. That is degrading to women, and it stinks! I even saw a review where the reviewer PRAISED the lack of character development or plot. If the review was fair, then I do not think I would care much for that book. People are not self-propelled sex organs seeking another organ. They have all sorts of hopes, fears, desires, hang-ups, and that is what makes us act as we do. I wanted real people to inhabit my novels. I wanted Mary Beth and Kitty, Lady Annabelle and Mavis, Tanya, Svetlana, Abby, Tracy and Phoebe to be people you can relate to, and even think, “Yeah, I knew someone like that.” I guess another influence that impelled me to write is that there are things I feel strongly about. In the US, one phrase that gets me real mad is “trailer trash”. Someone may come from a poor background and live in grim surroundings, but that does not automatically make them trash to be despised. There are plenty of nasty people to be found in such circumstances, but you can find nasty people in the most luxurious penthouse as well. Has anyone written about a Penthouse Pig?In “Gold Medal Momma”, there is a Trailer park gal. Does she deserve to be called trash? In the UK there are similar phrases. In “The Lady and the Slut” the yawning gap between a gal who is the daughter of the Manor House and a gal whose mum was the village slut is central to the story. “Three Brides and One Guy” opens just after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and recalls the horrific ethnic cleansing in Chechnya where Russian families fled or died. Those that fled back to Russia faced discrimination. "Three Brides" explored a whole host of issues. In "The Slutlets Get Mad", the Conroy twins, Tracy and Phoebe take center stage in a sexy action packed tale set in the Cotswolds and Moscow with an explosive finale. There's plenty of sex, plenty of adventure and a chance to get to know Abby and her two daughters better. 'Even When You Lie' and its Sequel. 'Cotcote Babes' enter the world of office politics, office sex and the notorious Christmas Party. An interracial affair kicks off between an Asian girl and an English guy, but soon they must run for their lives from an Honour Killing. Add a gold digger who sets out to nail the boss and a gal whose mom dumped her like a carton from a fast food meal when she was five and the there is a heady mix of sex, love, lust, betrayal and drama. 'Once Upon an Office' depicts the self-contaied world of office politics and office sex. By highlighting these issues in a novel, I can say "Hey, what about this?" To take the easiest one, we all know that phrase "trailer trash", but people are NOT trash because of where they live. PERIOD. I would apply the trash label to the person who thinks of another human being in those terms, as it is nasty and unfair. OK, I guess I'd better calm down! If you decide to read one of my novels, I hope that YOU will ask yourself a few questions at the end of it. The characters are imaginary, but the problems they face are real, and real people face them every single day. Often the emotional baggage that the characters carry, or the way other people react to them, determines what will happen. I do kind of like a story where someone from the wrong side of the tracks makes good in the end, and I don’t like a story where the bad guy or bad girl are top of the compost heap on the last page. If you want to find out about my novels type in Cindy May in a search engine or on Smashwords, Amazon etc, and you should find a link I have a website on Google with a write up on my books and a few personal thoughts etc. https://sites.google.com/site/cindymaywriter/home I think I’ve said enough.
